Feeding America is the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Their mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 37 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, including 14 million children and nearly 3 million seniors. | Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation is a tax exempt, non-profit corporate foundation established in memory of Victoria Catherine Flick, born June 3,1997. As a result of complications during birth, Victoria was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation was established to help special needs children obtain the durable medical equipment necessary to fit the needs of the child when all other resources are exhausted. |
HelpAge India is a secular, not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies’ Registration Act of 1860. They were set up in 1978, and since then have been raising resources to protect the rights of India’s elderly and provide relief to them through various interventions. HelpAge India voices the needs of India’s 90 million (current estimate) “grey” population, and directly impacts the lives of elders through their services every year. | Over one billion people worldwide lack access to clean drinking water and more than two million people die every year from dirty water-related diseases. These especially affect children under the age of five. FRANK Water works with a local Indian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) called Naandi, to build and support community clean water projects. To date FRANK Water Projects has funded 58 clean water projects, benefiting more than 400,000 people. |
Mary’s Meals is an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. Mary’s Meals provides daily meals in school for over 400,000 children in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Mary’s Meals not only addresses the immediate needs of hungry children by giving them a daily meal, it also allows those children to receive an education that can provide an escape from poverty for themselves and their communities. | http://www.tedlindemanoutreachfoundation.com Ted Lindeman was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in October 2003. He died on January 9, 2004 at age 33. He left behind his wife Ellen and their two children. The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation was founded to help young families who find themselves in the horrible position of tragically or unexpectedly losing a spouse. Their goal is to assist with a grant to alleviate the immediate financial burdens encountered when such tragedy strikes. |

K., Inc.) is a charitable, non-profit organization whose mission is to respond to the needs of people in the Trenton area by 1) providing meals to all those who are hungry, 2) providing services to encourage self-sufficiency and improve quality of life, 3) informing the wider community of the needs of the hungry, and 4) advocating for resources to meet these needs. | The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center is an international leader in cancer treatment, research, prevention, education and community outreach. Siteman offers the expertise of more than 350 Washington University research scientists and physicians who provide care for about 8,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year. A full range of advanced diagnostic and treatment services are available for patients with all types of cancer. |
Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Their growth and eventual integration with the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005 has made them the region’s largest hunger relief organization. They are now able to address hunger through direct service programs and a network of 500 member agencies, as well as contribute to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, daycare and senior centers and beyond. | |
